The nurses, doctors and healthcare professionals of SEIU 1991, the union at Jackson Hospital, have long been active in the Miami community. COVID-19 has made their activism even more important. They see first hand the impact that putting community health needs first has on Miami.

After launching the Miami Healthcare Heroes campaign this summer, SEIU 1991 highlighted champions of healthcare leading up to the August primary, called on Gov. Ron DeSantis to issue a statewide mask mandate and now they turn their attention to November.

Their goal? To elevate the candidates who support healthcare heroes and better health care access.
