Miami’s Museum of Graffiti will showcase the work of Gustavo Oviedo from Oct. 17 to Nov. 14. In the Wynwood District, the Museum of Graffiti showcases the power of contemporary expression through this form of art. The pieces by Oviedo are an ode to Miami’s coastline.
With bright colors and fluorescents, his work represents the community he has lived and worked in for years. You may be skeptical about going to an exhibit at a museum dedicated to graffiti, but don’t let that fool you. This form of art started in the 1960s and early 1970s, evolving today into beautiful art.
