With Election Day now more than a week behind us, it’s worth giving praise to all American citizens for showing up to vote like never before.
While the counting is still ongoing as you read this, as of Friday, Nov. 6, more than 140 million Americans voted, the largest-ever turnout in U.S. election history. Estimates from the Elect Project also say turnout will end up in the mid-60 percentage of the voting-eligible population — the highest rate in more than 100 years.
Here’s to all of those that voted. The higher turnout is for our elections, the healthier our democracy.
