The Dolphins aren’t going to the playoffs, but they can still finish this up-and-down season with a rare sweep of the New England Patriots if they win Sunday’s season finale at Hard Rock Stadium.
The Dolphins beat New England 17-16 in Foxboro on Sept. 12 in the opening game of the season. If they win Sunday, it will mark the first time Miami swept the Patriots since the 2000 season. It would also be the Dolphins’ third straight win over New England, dating to last year.
Miami, now 8-8, can finish with a winning record after starting the season 1-7.
