After a 33-24 win Sunday over New England, the Dolphins did the improbable – they recorded their first series sweep over the Patriots in 20 years, and secured a second-straight winning season for the first time since 2002-03.
Miami finished with a 9-8 record, a dramatic turnaround after starting the season 1-7. It wasn’t enough to get the Dolphins into the playoffs, but it should give them a boost heading into the offseason.
Jaylen Waddle set the NFL rookie receiving record by finishing the season with 104 catches. He also was voted the Dan Marino Team MVP by local media.
