Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties to get new monoclonal treatment sites

by Margaret Willard

South Florida is the beneficiary of a new federal shipment of monoclonal antibody doses to treat COVID-19, with one new site opening in each of the region’s three counties.

The state Health Department opened Lake Worth, Miami and Sunrise sites on Tuesday. The new locations will operate from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. daily. Duval and Seminole counties are also getting new sites.

“We’re working around the clock to keep up the momentum so Floridians have access to lifesaving monoclonal antibody therapies,” DOH tweeted Monday.

The number of COVID-19 cases in the state on Saturday passed 5 million.
