The Miami Dolphins apparently committed to quarterback Tua Tagovailoa for next season, closing the door on any attempt to acquire Deshaun Watson from Houston.
The Dolphins had multiple conversations with the Texans about trading for Watson but believed the asking price was too high. Watson also faces 22 civil lawsuits from women accusing him of sexual misconduct, including two allegations of sexual assault.
ESPN reported, “Flores had an interest in exploring a Watson deal, but others in the organization, including owner Steven Ross , did not.”
And the NFL Network reported Miami has a “plan to build around and support [Tagovailoa].”
