Trailing by 26 points, the University of Miami men’s basketball team nearly pulled off a miracle comeback before falling 61-60 to Florida State.
Before the first sell-out home crowd in four years was a battle worthy of the hype between the top two teams in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Hurricanes outscored the Seminoles 27-8 over the final 10 minutes but a last-second shot by Isaiah Wong was off the rim.
Miami also lost by a single point earlier in the season at FSU.
“The fans were treated to two great teams slugging it out,” UM Coach Jim Larranaga said.
