Annette Taddeo hires handful of key staffers for Governor’s run

Sen. Annette Taddeo ramped up her run at Florida’s governorship Thursday with the announcement of five hires to key campaign positions.

Her new campaign manager is Miami native Nick Merlino, who served as financial adviser to Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried, one of Taddeo’s November opponents.

Other hires include Political Director Clifton Addison, Deputy Finance Director Adrian Delgado, Campaign Press Secretary Dawson McNamara-Bloom and Campaign Coordinator Vanessa Garcia.

Taddeo said she needs the best talent available to help spread her message “that we are building a movement for all of Florida.”

“I firmly believe that they all represent that,” she said.
