Brightline has broken ground for a new station in Boca Raton, the high-speed rail company announced Tuesday.
The new station, expected to be completed in the fall of 2022, will be the company’s fifth station in Florida. Brightline’s current locations include Miami, Aventura, Ft. Lauderdale and West Palm Beach.
“As a premier business and leisure destination, Boca Raton is a perfect fit for Brightline and will be an integral part of our network that will further connect the state of Florida,” said Patrick Goddard, president of Brightline.
Future plans for an additional stop in Orlando are currently in the works.
