Daryl Campbell gets his seat, committee assignments after unusual election

by Margaret Willard

After last week’s ping-pong of questions about when Rep. Daryl Campbell would be seated as the 41st Democrat in the Legislature this Session, the newly minted Representative of House District 94 in northwest Broward County received his committee assignments Monday.

Campbell was elected Jan. 11 in a universal primary to succeed former Rep. Bobby DuBose. He will be sworn in Tuesday.

Campbell will be a member of the subcommittees of Agriculture & Natural Resources Appropriations, the Environment, Agriculture & Flooding and State Administration & Technology Appropriations and the committee of State Affairs.

His district includes parts of Fort Lauderdale, Plantation and Wilton Manors.
