After fickle fortune put the Miami Dolphins at the front of the pack and then the back, now they know for certain they will be the 29th to pick in the first round of the NFL Draft.
Certainty set in as San Francisco lost the NFC Championship Game to Los Angeles. The Dolphins acquired the 49ers’ pick in a trade.
Miami had the No. 3 pick in the 2021 draft but moved back to No. 12 after trading with the 49ers. Later, Miami sent its 2022 first-round pick to Philadelphia to move up six spots and take receiver Jaylen Waddle.
