Free tax service offered

Broward Tax Pro has partnered with the United Way to offer free tax preparation services for Broward County residents with an annual household income less than $66,000.

Last year, more than 1,660 families had their taxes completed this way. Broward Pro’s tax professionals brought home a total of $1.9 million in refunds for these families, Kathleen Cannon, President of Broward County United Way, told the Sun-Sentinel.

The volunteers at Broward Tax Pro speak English, Spanish and Haitian Creole. More details are available here.
