Former Dolphins linebacker Zach Thomas, one of their best and most popular players during his era, again fell short of the NFL Hall of Fame.
Thomas has been eligible for nine years; one of 15 finalists for the last three years.
“Man, I don’t ever want anybody to feel sorry for me,” he told Miami Herald columnist Greg Cote. “I got the best out of myself and the game gave me so much. I can put the time in with my kids because of football. Why would I ever complain on a game that’s the best honor in the world?”
