The University of Miami women’s basketball team is on a roll. The Hurricanes scored a big road win Sunday, knocking off No. 16 Georgia Tech 51-39 in Atlanta.
Miami’s fourth win in eight days improved the ‘Canes to 16-10 overall and 9-7 in the ACC. They forced Tech into 22 turnovers and held the Yellow Jackets’ shooting to 13%, a paltry three of 23 shooting in the first half.
It’s also the second time they beat Tech. Miami’s relentless defense kept Tech’s scoring to under 50 points in both games.
Miami returns to home court Thursday against Virginia Tech.
