Port Everglades’ newest ship has come in – and it’s the largest cruise ship in the world.
Royal Caribbean’s Wonder of the Seas sailed into the Fort Lauderdale port on Sunday for its March 5 debut revenue sailing.
For two months, it will be on Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries, including stops at the cruise line’s private Bahamas island. As summer approaches, it will be positioned in the Mediterranean until its U.S. return in November for sailings out of Cape Canaveral.
The ship has 18 decks. The 22,867 staterooms accommodate nearly 7,000 guests. Features include an outdoor, interactive play area.
