Dolphins get to work designing offense for Tua

by carlislewillard

New Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel earned a reputation as an innovative offensive mind, and in quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, McDaniel believes he has the chance to build something special.

Dolphins coaches believe it won’t be hard to marry Tagovailoa’s run-pass option skills with the West Coast-style offense McDaniel ran to acclaim as offensive coordinator with the San Francisco 49ers.

As the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported, “… there will be an evolution, one that requires Tagovailoa and his offensive teammates to learn new plays, concepts, terminology, and develop a rhythmic timing element, which has been a staple of the West Coast offenses.”
