Palmetto Bay Mayor Karyn Cunningham has announced she’s seeking re-election as Mayor of the village of 23,000 people.
Cunningham first won a seat on the Palm Bay Village Council in 2014 and became Mayor in 2018. She wants to continue to ensure the village is fiscally sound.
“Our taxes are lower than when I first took office in 2014 and one of the lowest amongst cities in Miami-Dade,” she said, according to a news release.
Permitting fees have been decreased by 25%, she said.
“So those who are making upgrades to their homes can do so with less costs,” she said.
