There is a rich history of women administering elections in Collier County. The first “Supervisor of Elections” was Edna Cribb Santa who served until 1981. Supervisor Mary Morgan took office after Santa’s retirement. And, Jennifer J. Edwards was then appointed in 2000 after Morgan’s retirement and her first election was the Bush v. Gore which was won by 537 votes in Florida.
Thank you to the many women who make history every day whether working in our office or at the polls helping voters exercise their right to vote.
Thank you for your service. We cannot conduct any elections without you!
– Jennifer Edwards, The SWFL 100
