Marco Rubio blasted for sharing pics of live talk with Ukrainian President

Marco Rubio faced condemnation from current and former politicians from both sides of the political aisle after sharing photos of a Saturday video call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Rubio was one of two Republican U.S. Senators to disregard a request not to share photos of the Zoom meeting to protect Zelenskyy’s security. It has been reported Zelenskyy has survived at least three assassination attempts since last week.

Criticism came quickly.

“Appalling and reckless ignorance,” Democratic U.S. Rep. Dean Phillips said.

Said Republican former Maryland Lt. Gov. Michael Steele: “Dude, what the hell is wrong with you?”
