Play ball! Marlins’ spring training to start

by

With the Major League Baseball lockout finally a thing of the past, the Marlins are ready to start an abbreviated spring training in Jupiter.
The Marlins open the Grapefruit League season on Friday against the Washington Nationals in West Palm Beach. Their home opener is Saturday against the Houston Astros.
“Our organization is working hard to finalize our roster as we battle the NL East with one of the best young rotations in the game and an electric lineup,” Marlins owner Bruce Sherman said.
They start the regular season on April 8 at San Francisco. The home opener is April 14.
