Dolphins’ offense gets a boost from Raheem Mostert

by Margaret Willard

New Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel went to his old team, the San Francisco 49ers, to sign free agent running back Raheem Mostert. This could have a huge impact on Miami’s offense potential.

Since entering the NFL in 2015, no running back with at least 200 carries has a better rushing average than Mostert’s 5.7 yards. He combines speed and versatility and a nose for the end zone.

In the 2019 NFC Championship Game, Mostert ran for 220 yards and four touchdowns. And in 2020, NFL Next Gen Stats said Mostert had the first- and second-fastest recorded speeds of any player.
