A new level of cooperation may be in the cards for city-county relations as Fort Lauderdale voters will be offered the chance to elect Yvette DuBose to the Fort Lauderdale City Commission District 3 and her husband, Bobby DuBose, to the Broward County Commission District 9.
Bobby Dubose had been representing House District 94 until he resigned last year to run for Congress, and he’ll be facing Fort Lauderdale City Commissioner Robert McKinzie, who is ending his term on the City Commission early to run for the open county seat.
Businesswoman Yvette DuBose is making her first bid for public office.
