It was clear that receiver DeVante Parker didn’t into the Dolphins’ plans for the upcoming season, but it was surprising that Miami traded him to a division rival.
Parker is on his way to the Dolphins’ AFC South rival New England along with a fifth-round pick in this year’s NFL Draft. Miami receives a third-round selection in 2023.
Parker, the Dolphins’ first-round pick in 2015, didn’t figure to see the field much this season after Miami added wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Cedrick Wilson Jr. this offseason.
The Dolphins have only four picks in this year’s draft after the trade.
