The Panthers are playing some of their best hockey at the right time of the year.
They handled Nashville 4-1 on Saturday for their seventh-consecutive win as they close in on the best record in the Eastern Conference.
“We picked and (chose) our time to make sure we won certain battles around the boards and blocked shots,” Panthers Interim Coach Andrew Brunette said. “So, we did a lot of good things.”
Florida leads second-place Carolina by six points with 10 games remaining in the regular season.
The Panthers trail Colorado by two points for the league’s top overall record.
