The Heat is on in the NBA playoffs – the Miami Heat, that is.
Miami routed Atlanta 115-91 at FTX Arena in the opening game of their first-round playoff series.
The Heat’s suffocating defense neutralized Hawks’ star Trae Young. He was held to only eight points, both a career low in the playoffs and season low. Young was a lousy one-for-12 from the field and missed all seven attempts from three-point range.
“We all know he’s a (heck) of a player and he missed a lot of shots he normally makes tonight…,” Miami’s Jimmy Butler said.
The series resumes on Tuesday.
