The group’s “Journey Home” TV program documented the effort to rebuild a child trauma center damaged by Hurricane Michael. Senate Democratic Leader Lauren Book, a child sexual abuse survivor, founded Lauren’s Kids prior to her legislative career.
Loser: Rhonda Rebman Lopez. Rebman Lopez is back running for the HD 120 seat after losing the 2020 GOP Primary to now-Rep. Jim Mooney. Already, her candidacy is facing allegations of breaking state fundraising rules. Not a good look as she seeks to oust a well-liked incumbent.
