Marlins headed back home after road swing

by Margaret Willard

The Marlins return home Friday following a six-game road trip with a weekend series against Seattle.

A highlight of the trip was taking two out of three games from the World Series champion Atlanta Braves. It was just the second series win for the Marlins at Atlanta’s Truist Park.

During the series, Miami slugger Jorge Soler collected his World Series ring that he earned last year as a member of the Braves.

Soler, who signed a three-year contract with the Marlins last offseason, received a standing ovation from Braves’ fans when he stepped into the box for his first at-bat.
