Sixers superstar will miss first two games of playoff series vs. Heat

by

As the Heat prepares for Monday’s opening game at home in their second-round playoff series, they will be against a depleted opponent.

Philadelphia superstar center Joel Embiid has been ruled out of the first two games after suffering a right orbital fracture and mild concussion Friday when the Sixers eliminated Toronto.

ESPN reported Embiid could return to the lineup when the series switches to Philadelphia on Friday if he passes a concussion exam.

Miami point guard Kyle Lowry also will miss the opening game as he continues to struggle with a strained left hamstring suffered in Game 3 against Atlanta.
