Rhonda Rebman Lopez qualifies by petition to run for Monroe County’s HD 120

by carlislewillard

Republican House candidate Rhonda Rebman Lopez has collected the required 599 signatures to get her name on the ballot to run to represent House District 120.

She’ll be vying with two Republicans – incumbent Rep. Jim Mooney and Robert Allen – for the nomination to represent the district that encompasses all of Monroe County and parts of southern Miami-Dade County.

Rebman Lopez’s campaign statement says that she was motivated to run, in part, because of Mooney’s vote against the Parental Rights in Education Act critics have dubbed “Don’t Say Gay.”

She’ll be continuing her door-to-door campaigning, a news release from her campaign said.
