Miami now leads the best-of-seven series 2-0

The Heat are halfway home to the NBA’s Eastern Conference finals after pulling away from Philadelphia in the second game of their playoff series to take a two-game lead over the 76ers.

Bam Adebayo scored 23 points while Jimmy Butler had 22 points and 12 assists to lead the Heat past the 76ers 119-103 Wednesday night.

Tyrese Maxey scored 34 points for hobbled Philadelphia.

Philly played without superstar Joel Imbiid in the first two games in Miami after he suffered an orbital fracture in the Sixers’ first-round series. His status is uncertain when the series resumes Friday in Philadelphia for Game 3.
