After several Democratic campaign changes, some only rumored, Miami Beach Commissioner David Richardson is staying put on the City Commission.
Richardson said he won’t resume a campaign he launched in March to again sit in the Florida House, nor will he pursue a since-contemplated bid for the Miami-Dade County Commission.
Richardson considered the Miami-Dade race after Commissioner Eileen Higgins filed to run for Congress. When Higgins cancelled less than a week later amid rumors Sen. Annette Taddeo was also planning to enter the race, Richardson backed off too.
Taddeo’s campaign insists she only plans to keep running for Governor.
