Michelle Oyola McGovern has never been elected before, but she continues to win the endorsement sweepstakes against a battle-tested state lawmaker in her bid for the Palm Beach County Commission District 6.
McGovern is in a four-way race to succeed term-limited Commissioner Melissa McKinlay representing the western part of the County. State Rep. Matt Willhite is her chief competition, in addition to Republican candidate Sara Baxter and Democratic candidate Sylvia L. Sharps.
BizPac, a business political action committee, added to McGovern’s endorsement list, which also includes Ruth’s List Florida, the Palm Beach County Police Benevolent Association and 25 local elected leaders.
