The Dolphins signed linebacker Channing Tindall, Miami’s third-round selection in the NFL Draft.
Tindall, who played collegiately at Georgia, was the Dolphins’ first overall pick. They traded their top two draft choices to Kansas City in the deal that brought Tyreek Hill to Miami.
Tindall was second-team All-SEC in his senior season as the Bulldogs won the national championship.
Luke Easterling of USA Today’s Draft Wire praised the selection, calling Tindall “a huge bargain” for a team with only four picks.
Easterling expects Tindall to be a productive pro and said he fills a big need in the Miami defense.”
