Republican operative Alina García’s run for the soon-to-be-open seat representing House District 115 in Miami-Dade County has gained more steam thanks to a nod from Speaker-designate Paul Renner.
In an endorsement announced through the Florida House Republican Campaign Committee, Renner called García “an experienced public servant who has earned the respect of her community.”
“Miami-Dade will gain a dedicated and passionate leader that will make an immediate difference in Tallahassee,” he said.
García, who also has the support of U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, one of her several former political employers, is now the only active candidate running in HD 115.
