The return of Marlins infielder Joey Wendle from the 10-day injured list remains uncertain.
After he was placed on the injury list June 1, retroactive to May 31, Wendle received a platelet-rich plasma injection on June 2 to address his right hamstring strain.
“Thing kind of keeps lingering and kept coming back,” manager Don Mattingly said. “[We] felt like we handled it right, took the full time. There was talk about bringing him back even earlier … He felt like, and we felt like, we kind of did everything right, and it still happened. Hamstrings are just tricky in general.”
