Jazz talk with Heat assistant Chris Quinn for head coaching job

by carlislewillard

The Miami Herald reported that the Heat gave the Utah Jazz permission to interview longtime assistant Chris Quinn for the team’s vacant head coaching job.

The Jazz needs to replace Quin Snyder, who resigned just days ago after eight seasons in the position. There are several other candidates for the position.

Quinn has been with the Heat for eight seasons, the longest tenure of any assistant on Erik Spoelstra’s coaching staff. He filled in as head coach for three games this season where Spoelstra was absent and has received credit for his role in the Heat’s acclaimed player development program.
