Florida’s longest-serving member of Congress and Charlie Crist‘s former rival for the Democratic gubernatorial nomination are both endorsing Crist’s campaign for Governor.
Weston’s Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz praised Crist‘s willingness to make tough decisions, saying he “always puts what’s best for the people of Florida over politics.”
Miami Sen. Annette Taddeo, who was running for Governor until last week, called him “battle-tested.”
Crist faces Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried in the August Primary for the right to run against Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis in the General Election.
“Most importantly, he is our strongest candidate to defeat Ron DeSantis,” Taddeo said.
