Heat execs turn their attention to the NBA Draft

by carlislewillard

The season might be over for the Heat but team officials have no time to kick back and relax. The NBA Draft is just around the corner.

“It’s different than the NFL, where you have several months after the season ends to do it,” Adam Simon, the Heat’s vice president of basketball operations, told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. “This is how we have to jump right into it.”

The Heat have the No. 27 pick in the June 23 draft.

Despite the late position, Simon expects the team will have the chance to add a talented player who can help.
