Winner: Rosalind Osgood. Democratic state Rep. Patricia Hawkins-Williams announced in mid-May she would challenge Democratic state Sen. Osgood. Less than a month later, Hawkins-Williams swapped back to a House run. The move clears the Primary for Osgood, who won her seat in a March Special Election.
Loser: Curtis Calabrese. Calabrese withdrew his bid to replace U.S. Rep. Ted Deutch. Calabrese originally registered in Florida as a Republican, but sought to run this year as a Democrat. He failed to swap his registration, however, at least one year prior to the beginning of qualifying, as required by law. Whoops.
