University of Florida (UF) Health has recently become the second academic health provider to announce a new presence in Palm Beach County in the last nine months.
UF Health and Jupiter Medical Center plan on building new clinical facilities that will be jointly owned and operated, it was announced last week.
This follows the October 2021 news that two surgeons, Daniel R. Higgins and Itzhak Shasha, will be launching Tampa General Hospital Surgeons of the Palm Beaches. TGH has been affiliated with the University of South Florida College of Medicine since it the hospital was first opened in the 1970s.
