University of Miami football coach Mario Cristobal scored a potential difference-maker when highly touted quarterback Jaden Rashada verbally committed to the Hurricanes.
Rashada, a rising high school senior from Pittsburg, California, is a top 50 overall prospect in 247Sports.com rankings.
Rashada chose Miami over offers from Florida, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, and LSU. If he sticks with his verbal commitment, Rashada would be the second-highest ranked quarterback signing recruit in Miami school history. Only Kyle Wright was ranked higher when he signed with the ‘Canes in 2004.
Rashada’s commitment isn’t official until national letter of intent day on Feb. 1, 2023.
