by carlislewillard

A photographic timeline of the LGBTQ+ march for equal rights, “A Place for Pride,” will be presented through July 15 at the Royal Poinciana Plaza, 340 Royal Poinciana Way, Palm Beach.

The free exhibit is open during the plaza’s regular operating hours, which are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday.

The photos span 1958 to 2022. Highlights include County Clerk of Courts Joseph Abruzzo officiating at a mass LGBTQ+ wedding and the 1958 decision that allowed the first widely distributed pro-gay publication to be distributed through the U.S. mail.
