Democratic Rep. Michael Grieco left his race to unseat Republican Sen. Ileana Garcia of Miami, complaining that not enough Democratic resources were available to help him with his costly race.
Now comes Miami’s Sen. Jason Pizzo, pledging $500,000 to get Democratic lawmakers elected.
“Now is the time for all of us to do what we can to get real Democrats (re)elected to the FL State Senate and House,” he tweeted.
Pizzo also took a swipe at his fellow Miami-Dade delegate member Rep. James Bush III. Pizzo said he’s supporting Bush’s Primary challenger Ashley Gantt.
“Let’s lose fake Dems,” he said.
