Making mass transportation more like Uber’s on-demand service — except for the part where you pay — has taken a step closer to reality with new, on-demand shuttle rides available to new stops from Tri-Rail’s Cypress Creek Station.
The “Ride Freebee” gets Tri-Rail riders the last mile or two from or to the station at 5910 NW 9th Ave to points between East McNab Road and Prospect Road in Fort Lauderdale for free. Rides are available from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily through the “Ride Freebee” mobile app,
