Stop us if you’ve heard this one before, but University of Miami football coach Mario Cristobal scored another major recruiting victory.
Edge rusher Jayden Wayne , a four-star recruit from IMG Academy in Bradenton, became the second recruit from his school within a week to verbally commit to Miami. IMG teammate, a five-star Francis Mauigoa , committed to UM a few days before Wayne.
That vaulted Miami into the No. 10 overall 2023 class ranked by 247Sports, which called Wayne “a unique player.”
Miami has the top-ranked 2023 class in Florida and trails only No. 3 Clemson in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
