Miami state Sen. Annette Taddeo’s campaign reports that in just 24 days of running for Congress, it amassed more than $460,000 in contributions.
Taddeo’s gains last month are all-new donations. No money she collected during her run for Governor, which she canceled June 6, is legally transferrable to her federal account or usable in the Congressional District 27 race.
Taddeo is running to unseat Republican U.S. Rep. María Elvira Salazar. She faces two Democratic opponents: Angel Montalvo and Miami City Commissioner Ken Russell.
Russell, Taddeo’s closest Primary opponent, raised $513,000 in the second quarter of 2022, his campaign said.
