by carlislewillard

Former Miami Dolphins standouts Bob Kuechenberg and Mark Clayton are semifinalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2023.

They are among 54 persons listed in the seniors, coaches and contributors categories. The next step involves the selection committee whittling the list to 12 seniors and 12 coach/contributors to the finalists stage. That will be announced July 27.

Players in the seniors category cannot have played later than the 1996 season.

Clayton holds the team record for receptions (550) and receiving touchdowns (81).

Kuchenberg, who died in 2019, was a six-time Pro Bowl guard in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
