After getting coveted mentions in the Michelin Guide at long last, Miami eateries are getting different kinds of stars they’d rather not.
A barrage of one-star reviews keeps coming along with “reviewers” asking them to send gift cards in return for the unfavorable Google reviews’ removal, the Miami Herald reports.
Miami restaurants Boia De and Ariete report receiving an email that asks them to send the extortionist in India a $75 Google Play card because the extortionist can “see no other way to survive.”
After the restaurants ignored these missives, the emails get more aggressive and one-star reviews keep coming.
