The Marlins placed LHP Daniel Castano on the seven-day concussion list following a scary situation in his last start against Cincinnati.
Castano was hit on the forehead by a line drive traveling 104 miles per hour from the Reds’ Donovan Solano.
Teammates and Miami trainers rushed to Castano, and Solano came over to express his concern. Castano left under his own power.
“I’m not sure what happened,” Castano said afterward. “I was down for a second. I was a little out of it.”
The ball ricocheted in the air to third baseman Joey Wendle , who caught it for the out.
